THE PHOTO GUIDE

Another era.
Your own face.

A retro hairstyle can change how a face reads. Image generators can also change facial features. A prompt can guide the result, but cannot guarantee an exact likeness.

Start with a clear reference

Choose a sharp, evenly lit photo with one unobstructed face. For a couple, both faces should be clear. Avoid sunglasses, heavy filters and extreme angles.

Separate identity from styling

Ask to preserve facial proportions, skin tone, age and expression. Describe clothing, hair and background separately. Avoid naming a celebrity: it can pull the result toward someone else’s appearance.

Change one thing at a time

If the face changes, ask the model to compare with the original and restore those features while keeping the outfit. If that does not work, restart from the original photo with a simpler scene.

Try this follow-up

Restore my recognizable facial proportions and natural skin texture using the original photo. Keep the retro clothes and setting. Do not make me younger or reshape my face.

These are suggested techniques, not a promise of identical results. Only upload photos you have permission to use.
